Thanks for visiting us at Roger De Clare Family Fun Day!

Congratulations to the 1st Braughing Leopard Beavers Group for completing their AED awareness session. They now know the location of all AED's in the villages, how to access the AED, CPR and AED awareness.

We have received an email via one of our Parish Councillors informing that there is a petition on the counter of the Puckeridge chemist regarding the threat of closure of between 1000 and 3000 rural chemists. This is due to government cut-backs forced on the NHS. We knew nothing of this and the ‘discussion’ period on the ‘proposal’ ends at the end of this month. Looking on the internet we find that supermarkets have submitted that they can better provide a pharmacy service to rural areas because they can have in-store pharmacies to provide the service when villagers visit them for their shopping, and government Ministers now seem to be using this as further justification for the closure of rural pharmacies. As a rural community we could not cope adequately or effectively without the Puckeridge pharmacy. As villagers we have a responsibility to protect the Puckeridge pharmacy from closure due to cuts in government funding and that we all should write letters of objection to the risk of closure to the Department of Health and to our MP Sir Oliver Heald. Thank you.

We cant thank you all enough for all the support and for what we have achieved over the past year. Our third and final AED is now live at KB tyres along with our new "AED locator" buttons located at the top and bottom of all webpages for quick access to our new AED locator page which will allow you to locate all AEDs in Standon and Puckeridge as well as pictures and a FAQ.

Third and final AED is live, along with a locate AED map page!
